From the first site visit through post-occupancy review — minds@work handles every stage of the FF&E process personally.
As an independent school furniture specifier serving Los Angeles and Southern California, minds@work handles K-12 FF&E procurement, classroom furniture specification, and learning environment design without ties to any manufacturer — giving schools and architecture firms unbiased guidance at every stage.
Most schools piece together FF&E from multiple vendors, each with their own agenda. minds@work provides a single, independent point of contact from space planning through installation — with no manufacturer affiliations and no commission-driven recommendations.
Every project starts with a visit. I come to your school, walk every space, and talk with your teachers about how they actually teach. From there I develop detailed 2D space plans using ArchiCAD — fully compatible with architectural drawings in AutoCAD or Revit.
The result is a layout that serves your students and educators — not one that just fills a room.
I research, curate, and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment across the full market — not limited to any manufacturer's catalog. Every selection is evaluated for durability, flexibility, learning outcomes, and alignment with your architect's palette.
Before anything is ordered, I create a lookbook presenting every proposed space — reviewed and approved by your school team first.
minds@work manages the procurement process end-to-end — coordinating with vendors, tracking orders, and managing the FF&E budget on your behalf. I work within your construction timeline and keep your project team informed at every stage.
I work within your construction documents and timeline — not around them. Having spent 6.5 years inside LAUSD working alongside architects and construction teams, I understand the process from the inside and can coordinate seamlessly with your project team.
Furniture finishes are specified to complement your architectural palette. Delivery and installation are scheduled within your construction sequence.
I create logistical layouts for delivery and installation, oversee the installation process, and return after occupancy to evaluate how spaces are actually being used — and make any refinements that better serve your students.
